 Baptism

Parents requesting Baptism for their children should contact the Parish Office at 771-8250.  Parents and, if possible, godparents must attend one preparation session, preferably before the child is born.   We celebrate the initiation into the Christian community of faith for children under the age of 7 years.   The parents, sponsors, and entire parish community accept responsibility for the child's development of faith.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Children (R.C.I.C)

Children seven years of age and older may participate in a program of sacramental preparation with their family if they have not been baptized or catechized in the Catholic faith.  For further information, contact our Director of Religious Education, Sr. Colleen Nolan, O.P., at 708-771-5959.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (R.C.I.A.)

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (R.C.I.A.) is for those adults wishing to become Catholic, adults not baptized as infants, or those who did not receive a sacrament at the appropriate age.  They are accepted into this program to prepare for the sacraments of initiation: Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation.  Spiritual preparation begins in October and the elect receive the sacraments at the Easter Vigil.  Parishioners interested in increasing their knowledge of their faith are also invited to act as sponsors or team members.

For more information, contact Deacon Bob Slobig or Julia Mannix at 708-771-6430.
