How You Can Help

Minimize

Between 2012 and 2017, St. Luke's 125th Anniversary Capital Campaign was conducted and raised more than $2.2 million for much-needed capital improvements on our parish campus.

We began work in 2014 on projects throughout our church and school that were completed over a two-year period. In 2016-17, the attention turned to making sure our church was watertight, which involved tuckpointing and extensive roof repairs. Then in 2018, all of the exterior refurbishment to our beautiful stained glass windows was completed. Based on that planning, 2019 is now the year when the final phase of work from our 125th Campaign will begin this summer.

With the extensive interior refurbishing of our church that will be occurring this summer, St. Luke Parish is reinstituting its Commemorative Gifts Program. This is a perfect time for you and your family to consider a commemorative gift that will provide the improvements that still require funding.

So please consider whether this is a good time for you to avail yourselves of the Commemorative Gift opportunities that are listed at right. An individual, family, or organization may offer a memorial gift to remember or recognize a loved one, family, friend, or colleague -- or even themselves -- through a unique and enduring expression of affection. With a few exceptions, the amounts listed do not reflect actual costs but are guidelines for your sacrificial giving and help absorb the overall costs of repair, restoration, and maintenance.

Help Us Bring
St. Luke Home!

St. Luke Parish has a rare artwork of its patron saint, perhaps the only version of its kind in the world. However, until now the scene of St. Luke the Artist has been secluded in the window of the rectory staircase. It's a striking 7-foot-tall stained glass window (see detail below) that matches the artistry of the magnificent windows that fill our church with the same brilliant colors. We now have a plan to bring it to make it accessible to everyone inside St. Luke Church, but we need your help.

The plan is to reposition it in a lightbox next to the Lake Street entryway, which will brightly display the image in its brilliant colors. This is an addition we hope to complete by the time all the renovation work is completed througout the church this fall. But since it was not included in the original budget, we are looking for donors who would like to cover the costs as part of a memorial gift. Your contributions will be immortalized in a plaque with your name or that of your family's or a loved one's.

To learn more about this special commemorative gift option, please contact Sheila Price, Director of Development, by email here or by calling 708-435-8927.
