Hospital Visits

The priests, deacons and Ministers of Care do their best to visit parishioners who are hospitalized. However, new and very strict security procedures at the hospitals make it more difficult to know who is hospitalized.

Please notify the Parish Office at 708-771-8250 when a family member is hospitalized so that we can arrange a pastoral visit.

We will do our best to have a priest, deacon, or Minister of Care visit you. Thank you for your cooperation.

Communion for the Homebound

Homebound parishioners remain closely united to the Lord Jesus through regular reception of Holy Communion.

Please call Sheila Murray at 708-366-5596 to arrange for a Minister of Care to bring Communion.

Annointing of the Sick

Remember, the Sacrament of The Anointing of the Sick is the Church's prayer for healing and brings comfort to the living. Where possible, it should be received in the presence of the family - in the home, church or in the hospital room.

Hospitals can also arrange for this sacrament by request through their Pastoral Care office.

Twice a year there is a communal celebration of the Sacrament of The Anointing of the Sick held in the Church and available to all who have chronic illnesses or ongoing medical conditions. It is an opportunity for the entire parish community to pray for all the sick. It is recommended for the elderly and all those in frail health.

There is no limit to the number of times that this sacrament can be received.

The Sacrament of The Anointing of the Sick can be arranged on request by calling the Parish Office at 708-771-8250.

Please contact the Parish Office at 771-8250 regarding the Parish Book of Prayer and in-Mass intercessions on behalf of those who are ill.
