CHERUB CHOIR (grades 1-4)
The Cherub Choir is an enjoyable introduction to choral singing for young school children. Members learn about singing in a group setting, simple vocal technique, and praying through song as they work to develop their choral sound. Choir members learn liturgical music of various styles, languages and cultures. Children also, on occasion, have the opportunity to accompany the choir with simple instruments such as small drums, maracas, tambourines etc. The choir rehearses weekly, September through May (when school is in session), and sings once a month at our 9:00 AM Family Mass, and also at the 4:00 PM Christmas Eve liturgy.
Kindergarten-age students may be permitted to join after their parents' consultation with the director.
Rehearsal: Thursday, 3:00 - 4:15 PM** in the Convent building and in the church as designated.
**Please note: this rehearsal begins with a supervised snack and relaxation time from 3:00 to 3:30 PM. Actual rehearsal time is from 3:30 to 4:15 PM.

STUDENT CHOIR (grades 5-8)
The Student Choir experience encompasses a more advanced level of liturgical music, vocal music technique, and choral sound. Choir members sing music of various liturgical and cultural styles, and also serve as cantors at the monthly Family Mass. In addition, choir members have the opportunity to cantor at other Masses, if they wish.
This choir sings at the monthly Family Mass, at the 4:00 PM Christmas Eve liturgy, and at occasional additional parish celebrations. Rehearsals occur weekly, September through May.
It is not necessary to have been a Cherub Choir member to join the Student Choir.
Rehearsal: Wednesday, 3:15 - 4:15 PM in the Convent building.
