STUDENT HANDBELL CHOIR

 

St. Luke's Handbell Choir enables school children, grades 5 through 8, to have the opportunity to play music in a collaborative instrumental ensemble. Handbells enhance our liturgical music with selections written solely for bell choirs, as well as assisting with accompaniments for our sung repertoire.

 

This group rehearses once a week, October through May (when school is in session), and plays for seasonal feasts and often at our monthly 9:00 AM Family Mass.

 

Students younger than Grade 5 may be permitted to join after their parents' consultation with the director.

 

Rehearsal: Wednesday, 4:30 to 5:30 PM in the church.

STUDENT INSTRUMENTALISTS

 

Student musicians who are taking lessons on various musical instruments (piano, flute, trumpet, violin, etc.) and are confident performers, are invited to contact the Music Department regarding opportunities to play at occasional liturgies.
